Hello, my name is Kamelia Vick. My experience with kids started at a young age. I started to babysit for my family. I was 8 years of age. I first started to babysit for my family. I started to watch my nephews. I started to work in ECE 2016 and I started with The Applewood School in 2018. I am now the lead teacher in GM1. I love to teach children by observing how children play. I love asking children questions and playing with them. I love how children teach me something everyday. Outside of being a teacher, I love to relax, binge watch tv shows and movies, go for walks, and taking care of my pug Lilly. I love spending time with my family, going camping in the summer, and caring for my plants. I lastly, love to travel outside of Colorado.
Hi, my name is Hailey and I am the Assistant Director here at The Applewood School. I earned my bachelors from Colorado Mesa University in Elementary Education where I student taught at a local school and decided to double major and get my Associates in Early Education, I later went on to get director certified. Kids have been my life ever since I can remember, with babysitting, volunteering at local children libraries and I have spent the last 10 years in childcare. I have had the pleasure of working in all different roles here at the school since I first started back in 2018, I spent 1.5 years in our 2-year-old classroom and 2 years in our preschool room before I had to opportunity to move up into the director position. I have loved moving from room to room helping all the children grow within themselves and watching their development scour.
I am happily married to my best friend David and we are proud parents to a baby boy named Hayes, who joined our family in June of 2023. In my free time I enjoy spending time with our sweet baby boy, playing with our cat Cashew, crafting, cooking and getting outside with hiking, fishing, camping and exploring. We are Colorado Natives so we love everything Colorado has to offer!
My name is Alysha and I am very excited to be at The Applewood School. I have been in ECE for 11 years. I have my directors license. I have worked with children of all ages and I also have worked in management and administration as well. In my free time I love spending time with my husband and two children. I have two boys ages 7 and 11 years of age. I
love reading and doing anything outdoors as well. I look forward working here for years to come.
Hello! My name is Christine! I am from Colorado and I could not imagine living anywhere else. I enjoy rock climbing when it is warm outside and I just started to learn how to paddle board. I have an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and a Directors license in Early Childhood education as well. I have been a teacher for 10 years. I am very excited to be at The Applewood School.

Hello! My name is Brittany Seeley and I’ve been working with children a little over 7 years.

I was granted a scholarship last year to further my education and experience in Early Education and am nearly finished with my program! (YAY!)

Born and raised in Puerto Rico. Grew up in the Caribbean, and I bring my Latino and Afro-Caribbean influence everywhere I cook. My parents had a dairy farm when I was growing up.
My grandma was a butcher, and my uncle was a fisherman. I pretty much grew up around food and animals. That is where I learned about the importance and beauty of cooking.
For me, food is more than love - it is life. As long as you live the life you love, you love the life you live. I have gained cooking technique in different countries and cities; Argentina, Peru, Tokyo, Dominican Republic, Milan and Denver. Cooking is my passion. I am in love with it.

My name is Brenda. I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have been happy to call my home Colorado since 2000. I am blessed to be a teacher at The Applewood School, and I feel like this school is my family. I have been in the childcare industry for 15 years. I have previously managed food service industries and rental properties. In my free time I love to walk my dog. I love to spend time camping with my family. I am marries and have 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
Hi, my name is Clarissa. I am very proud to be one of the toddler teachers at The Applewood School.
I am a Colorado native. I have worked in childcare as long as I can remember. First as a babysitter, then as a nanny and now as a lead qualified teacher at a licensed childcare facility for about 8 years.
I love painting, drawing, and spending time with my friends and family. I love working with children and I hope to continue working in the ECE field for the foreseeable future.

Hi, I am Mindy and I am the owner/director of The Applewood School. I have an undergraduate degree in Mandarin Chinese from The University of Colorado, Boulder. I have an MBA in finance and accounting from The University of Colorado, Denver. I left corporate America after 20 years to work in Montessori Schools. I am director qualified in Early Childhood Education with a passion for emerging literature and math.
My husband, Josh, is a dentist in private practice in Denver. Josh is also a lieutenant colonel in The Colorado Air National Guard at Buckley Air Force Base, with 20 years' experience in dentistry and military deployment. We have two children. Mia, age 15 and Jonah, age 7. Mia is an avid dancer and Jonah is obsessed with Legos, ninjas, swimming and Dr. Seuss.
When I am not working, I am out vintage collecting (jewelry and art), at hot yoga, or reading New York Times best seller non-fiction novels. I am thrilled to provide a family-friendly atmosphere. This is not a corporate-run facility. My door and email box are always open.
Hello, my name is Ms. Crissy! I have been a preschool teacher in early childhood since 2019. I have earned my Childhood Development Associates Credential. I have worked with children in many different settings for many years.I was a childcare leader at a kids camp at a hotel for 3 years. I was a nanny for a family for 6 years. I have volunteered at my church ministry every Sunday since 2014.
I love seeing the excitement of children learning and experiencing something new. Experiencing children having a new experience warms my heart and brings me so much joy.
I am married. I have 5 step children and 4 grand step children. I have two fur babies. One fun fact is that I lived in Hawaii for 15 years.
Hi! My name is Vanessa. My family and I (which consists of my husband of 33 years, two adopted sons-Joseph (from Mexico) and David (from Guatemala), and a son (Nicholas) moved to Colorado from North Carolina.
I have a degree in Accounting from the University of North Florida. After working in the business world of property taxes and lease administration, I decided to take a break to focus on raising my sons.
Through the years, I have realized each child has their own unique abilities, and I enjoy watching each one learn at their own pace.

Hello, my name is Samantha. I have lived in beautiful Colorado most of my life.
My mother, brother, father and I moved here when I was five years of age.
I briefly left the state to study at The University of Wyoming. I earned a bachelor's degree in both Elementary Education and Psychology.
After school I worked as a paraprofessional and than as a Pre- kindergarten teacher. I have also had experience working with children as a coach in youth sports and enrichment programs at the art museum.
Through my years working with children, I have learned how to connect with children and how to build strong relationships with children as well.
I have been in the educational field since graduation, Penn State with a Bachelor's degree in Education.
I have taught school from grades kindergarten to 12th grade.
I received my master's degree in education in 1999.
Most recently I was a director of student services at Keiser University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for 10 years.

Hello, my name is Ms. Nicole. I am super excited to be here at The Applewood School. I have worked in
childcare for 16 years. I have my associates degree in Early Childhood Education and a Directors License. I
graduated from Red Rocks Community College in May of 2023.
Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to work with children or be a veterinarian. 
My heart broke when my hamster and fish died so I knew working with children would be a better career path. Children make this world a better place, with their ever-lasting giggles, their warm smiles, and their amazing imaginations. I have seen many children grow over all the years and it
has given me such joy and completeness. I feel joy knowing that I am a part of these children's lives. I love watching children grow and climb the ladder to greatness, which is truly my passion.
I have a twin sister and a half sister. During time off I love to read, travel, spend time with my family and curl up on my couch to watch a great movie. I look forward to getting to know each family and being a part of this amazing community.

My name is Katie and I am very excited to be at The Applewood School. I love working with toddlers. I have been working with children for 18 years. I have worked with children from ages 1-12. I love teaching children and watching each child grow and learn in their own way. I am a Colorado native . I am married to a wonderful husband that I adore. I have two digs named Roxy and Snicker. We enjoy walking our dogs and going to the lakes in the summer time. I also love time with my family.
